"1. Vergine Madre, figlia del tuo figlio,
"Thou Virgin Mother, daughter of thy Son,
“你是贞女兼母亲,你是你子之女,

2. umile e alta piu` che creatura,
Humble and high beyond all other creature,
你最卑微也最崇高,超过其他造物,

3. termine fisso d'eterno consiglio,
The limit fixed of the eternal counsel,
你是永恒意旨的固定不移的最终限度,

4. Tu se' colei che l'umana natura
Thou art the one who such nobility
你正是曾经使人类变得如此高贵的那一位,

5. nobilitasti si`, che 'l suo fattore
To human nature gave, that its Creator
这就使人类的造物主

6. non disdegno` di farsi sua fattura.
Did not disdain to make himself its creature.
并不厌弃使自己也成为他本身的造物。

7. Nel ventre tuo si raccese l'amore,
Within thy womb rekindled was the love,
在你的腹内,燃烧起爱,

8. per lo cui caldo ne l'eterna pace
By heat of which in the eternal peace
正是依靠这爱的热气,

9. cosi` e` germinato questo fiore.
After such wise this flower has germinated.
这花朵才如此萌芽在这永恒的平和里。

10. Qui se' a noi meridiana face
Here unto us thou art a noonday torch
在这里,你是如日中天的火把,点燃我们的仁爱,

11. di caritate, e giuso, intra i mortali,
Of charity, and below there among mortals
在下面,在凡人中间,

12. se' di speranza fontana vivace.
Thou art the living fountain-head of hope.
你则是他们活跃的希望源泉。

13. Donna, se' tanto grande e tanto vali,
Lady, thou art so great, and so prevailing,
圣母啊,你是如此伟大,如此无所不能,

14. che qual vuol grazia e a te non ricorre
That he who wishes grace, nor runs to thee,
谁要想获得恩泽而又不求助于你,

15. sua disianza vuol volar sanz'ali.
His aspirations without wings would fly.

16. La tua benignita` non pur soccorre
Not only thy benignity gives succour

17. a chi domanda, ma molte fiate
To him who asketh it, but oftentimes
而且有多少次,

18. liberamente al dimandar precorre.
Forerunneth of its own accord the asking.
它都是自动地走在祈求的前头。

19. In te misericordia, in te pietate,
In thee compassion is, in thee is pity,
你身上有慈悲,你身上有怜悯,

20. in te magnificenza, in te s'aduna
In thee magnificence; in thee unites
你身上有宽容,你身上聚集

21. quantunque in creatura e` di bontate...
Whate'er of goodness is in any creature...
造物身上所能有的一切善意。
